Working for you

Listening, creating space, and putting people first has been what I have done my entire life. Our residents in our ward and across this city deserve a leader at city hall, one with heart, compassion, love for our city, and one that will be honest about their intentions. Our residents have spoken loud and clear, they want an individual committed to having conversations, communicating, addressing their needs, working collaboratively together to tackle the challenging obstacles we are faced with. I am that leader. Over the course of my professional career, I have developed a strong reputation of trust, integrity, support, hard work, and an open door policy. I am a leader, communicator, relator, and bridge builder. I am committed to working for you, building the trust back in the city’s ability to serve our residents and doing so with a focus on equity, below are some of my commitments to you:

  • Include community input in the decision making process before decisions are made on issues that impact our residents. Education and resources are a critical focus of mine as a candidate and individual. The more we can provide to help educate our community members, the more informed each of you will be in the decision making process.

  • Create a multi-prong communication approach to include weekly communications from the Ward 11 office through newsletters (digital and paper), website updates, social media, and weekly digital video updates from me, directly to you. Creating business specific updates to send to business owners in our community.

  • Create unique programming throughout the Ward to engage with residents on a consistent basis to hear feedback from backyard events, to Ward 11 council sponsored engagement activities, I want to get to know each of the residents of our ward and your families. Creating space for these types of engagements is important to me as I consider how to consistently serve each of you.

  • I am committed to having an office at city hall that will be responsive to the needs or feedback from all residents, day or night. This job is not a Monday thru Friday 9-5 role, this is a 24/7 commitment to service position and I am committed to serving our community, day or night as I do professional at the Sheriff’s Office.

  • Hard work, tough discussions are no stranger to my life. I am committed to having the tough discussions, putting in the work, and being real with my intentions so that each and everyone of you can know who I am, what I stand for, and how I lead. There should be no surprises in your elected officials if they represented themselves authentically during engagements you have with them.

  • Utilizing city resources and services available to support your needs, tackle challenges that our ward residents or businesses may be facing, and streamlining avenues of support services available to our constituents.

  • Being responsive to concerns raised by community members and directly engaging in the community is something that I have demonstrated through this campaign that I do and will continue to do upon being elected. From the start of this campaign as a neighbor of ours was being harassed, I reached out and went to the home to see how I can help to the neighborhood that has concerns about speed and blindspots after a hit and run, I went to see how I can support. Showing up and doing the work for our community is the job.

  • Weekly availability in community to engage directly with residents and allow open dialogue or discussion while supporting Ward businesses. By holding engagement events are area businesses, I will create a space to hear from each of you as well as support our incredible locally owned business community in Ward 11.
